This video by Andrew Reid shows off the power of the image stabilization on the Sony A7 II better than most of the “professional” videos I’ve seen. (Sorry Andrew, not saying you’re not a pro, just comparing to videos from Sony or the gear sellers.) That’s because the video pushes the sensor into super-high ISO modes and shows the footage both with the stabilization and without the stabilization.
This video was with the early production model of the Sony A7 II at firmware 1.0. I’ve actually seen better stabilization with the 1.1 firmware, but not always presented as attractively.
The video was captures on the A7II with the Sony 55mm Sonnar T* FE ZA f/1.8 FE lens and was converted in Film Convert Pro 2.1.
