Sony Lens Adaptors for Nikon

One of the many reasons Sony mirrorless cameras have been successful is the availability of lens adaptors for Nikon and Canon. A photographer can add a mirrorless body into their workflow and reap the benefits without a costly switch. Our fav adapter and lenses are from Sigma, adapting Canons, and in this video John Fry shares the options for Nikon.

In fact, I kept my original A7R ($1899.99 on Amazon after it landed me a cover story and there’s aMC-11 ($249.00 on Amazon) and Sigma art lens pretty much permanently attached to it that I use for product shots on our bike blog.

The adaptor Fry recommends is from Fotodiox and costs $99.00. The feature lists includes

  • Premium Grade Fotodiox “Pro” Adapter
  • All-metal design; brass with stainless steel finishing and a removable tripod mount to help bear the weight
  • Infinity Focus Allowed
  • Provides electronic communication between the lens and camera body allowing automatic focus and aperture control from the NEX body; Kindly check product description for limitation details

My daily shooter is Sony A1 with a vertical grip and various Sony lenses attached like the FE 20mm F1.8. Find more gear recommendations in our shop. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
