Shadows in the Rain with the A7R

On a dark and gloomy day, shot a bike for my blog and the details of the shoot, may not interest you as much as how we stayed dry. While covers exits, I find them cumbersome and annoying. When the a7r was released, Sony had weather sealing information on their website, but pulled it. With the Mark II, the spec list includes notes that it has dust- and moisture-resistant, including weather seals on buttons and dials. That sounds good, but I still take precautions, and protect the camera; also, wipe it off immediately after use. So in the pouring, nonstop Seattle rain, what we use is umbrellas. That’s right and a large one with an assistant or a compact one when it’s just me. I call this setup the ‘umbrella drink,” and the handle of the umbrella is stuffed down the front of my jacket.

So far so good!
