Deploying Sony sensors in their bodies, Pentax is on a roll. We covered the full frame K-1 earlier this year and now they launched an APS-C camera, the K-70 for $649.95 on Amazon and B&H in silver or black. The specs include weather sealing, which has been on our wish list for Alpha Series cameras, like the A7R II since they launched a few years ago. And, full-time autofocus during movie capture. Purchase the K-70 with the kit lens and it’s a hundred less than the comparable a6300 at $899.95.
While we focus on Sony systems one this blog, can’t argue with the Pentax value; especially, in our wet, Pacific Northwest climate. A glance at the forums, and the Pentaxians are enthused by this release.
