Think Tank Airport Advantage Plus

This one time, Think Tank saved me when my suitcase broke during a trade show in Vegas. I shared that story here and have been using that bag ever since.

Last week, Think Tank introduced the Airport Advantage Plus and it’s designed to make reaching your assignment or destination with lots of gear even easier.

At 6.9 pounds, it’s light and meets domestic and international airline requirements. Mirrorless photographers will be able to haul two bodies with a substantial number of lenses—I carried three, two of them fixed lenses.

The bag can fit up to a 200-400mm ƒ/4 lens, detached, with the hood reversed.

Made with 420D velocity nylon, the bag’s exterior fabric features a water-repellent coating, with lockable YKK zippers, extra-tall skid plates and handles, and quiet wheels with sealed bearings. Inside, the bag protects and organizes gear with a polyurethane-backed high-density liner, as well as closed-cell foam and reinforced PE board dividers. A seam-sealed rain cover is included. Interior dimensions are 13.4” W x 20.5” H x 4.9 – 6.4” D, and exterior dimensions are 13.8” W x 22” H x 7.3” D.

Additional features include:

Available now, the Airport Advantage Plus roller is priced at $289.75 direct and you can also find Think Tank on Amazon they offer several configurations of the Airporter for more or less gear and their popular pouches and iPad holder.

Think Tank’s Red Whips I use for more than just camera gear, as they’ll hold down most everything; including the gear and kit in my travel bike suitcase.

For a shoulder bag with more style, also see their Signature Series. I own the 13 in Slate Grey.
