How might we experiment with immersive storytelling to advance the field of journalism?
And, wants to discover ideas that advance immersive storytelling in the field of journalism. Ideas that are informative and encourage innovation and learning; at some point, ad revenue too.
The Times has featured several 360 pieces this year, like Ice Caves, and see this crazy Sony-based 360 rig.

A solid response to the problem of fake news, is deeply engaging genuine content. I don’t know if 360˚ journalism is the answer for readership, but the medium holds promise and the call has a total budget of $250,000.
Studies have shown that if news looks real, people will believe it, so a strategy to change what news looks like seems plausible. The call ends April 10, and the winners will be awarded in June 2017.
