Local camera stores were having problems before COVID-19 hit, and I suspect many of them are teetering on the brink of collapse right now.
No one is buying camera gear and the stores are closed. As I shared in a story for Shutterbug and this post, camera stores are really the lifeblood of photography for the entry-level photographer that needs handholding and training.
In the Seattle area, Glazer’s is offering curbside pickup for purchases. Rentals are closed. Kenmore camera is doing the same. If you’re planning a purchased, please consider doing so from one of your local camera stores.
