After five years in New York City, Sony’s Creative Space hits the road. On March 12, Exposition Park becomes a pop-up playground for photographers, filmmakers, and anyone eager to try the new Alpha 7 V.
The idea is simple: bring the gear, the ambassadors, and the community directly to the people who use them. No velvet ropes, no pressure to buy anything—just a full day of making images, meeting creators, and trying out equipment in the wild.
Creative Space LA is built around hands-on time. You can check out Sony’s latest cameras and lenses, join guided photowalks, or step into a professional portrait setup for a new headshot. The vibe is part workshop, part festival—swag tables, interactive stations, and plenty of chances to talk shop with Sony Ambassadors and other creators.
A few highlights:
Register now to secure your spot. The event is free and runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.—just be sure to sign up in advance to guarantee your access.
The LA stop is at Christmas Tree Lane Park in Exposition Park, between the LA Memorial Coliseum and BMO Stadium—easily accessible by Metro, rideshare, or a short walk from the Blue Parking Lot off Figueroa.
A few things to pack:
Pets are welcome as long as they’re leashed, and the usual park rules apply: no alcohol, no smoking, and please respect the space.
To join a photowalk and experience the Alpha 7 V, sign up onsite at least 30 minutes beforehand. Confirm your spot early, then pick up your camera 15 minutes before your walk begins. Don’t miss your chance—secure your spot on arrival!
Creative Space has always been about lowering the barrier between creators and the tools they use. Taking it on the road makes that mission even more accessible. Instead of flying to a conference or committing to a workshop, you can drop in on a single-day event, try the latest gear, and walk away with fresh images and new connections.
Los Angeles is just one stop on a cross-country tour that includes San Francisco, Denver, Albuquerque, Savannah, Charleston, Richmond, Boston, Las Vegas, and San Diego. Each city brings its own light, energy, and community.
