Dave Tries Sony a6700

Dave Tries Sony a6700. Sony’s all-new compact camera with tech from the ZV-E1 launched earlier this morning. Dave is Bike Hugger’s East Coast editor (our sister site), a Sony Mirrorless Pro contributor, and shot with the a6700 earlier this month. Expecting this camera to sell fast, pre-order it now. Sony told me it’ll ship in August and cost $1398.

My demo arrives next week. Watch the edit below. I’m crossposting the review because this is a camera, like the ZV-E1, that we’ll carry with us on a bike ride either in a handlebar bag or in a jersey pocket.

From the caption

Sony shooters have been asking for a professional APS-C camera from Sony FOREVER and with the a6700’s launch they finally get their wish. Or do they? In this hands-on review of the a6700 I walk you though all of the good, great, and also really disappointing features of this camera. Did Sony shooters get their wish for a truly useable APS-C camera, or is it time to look at Canon, Fujij or Nikon? In this video I look at the features, body, AF, video capabilities, image quality and more, and let you know if you should buy this new camera.

There was a time when, media types like me, thought perhaps Sony would abandon the APS-C format to focus on full frame. Well, we were wrong because this camera ships with more tech than my Alpha One, Sony’s full-frame flagship camera.
