Birding by Bike for Imaging Resource has just been published. It’s a new piece that blends two passions of mine—cycling and photography.
Instead of driving to birding spots, I’ve been exploring the Methow Valley on a Tern Orox e-bike. I carrying Sony kit in the panniers. The quiet motor lets me roll deeper into the woods without disturbing wildlife, and the rear frame doubles as a mobile workbench for setting up shots.

From robins and sparrows to chipmunks and even a turtle laying eggs, this adventure showed me how combining pedal power with camera gear opens up new ways to experience nature. It’s eco-friendly, practical, and a whole lot of fun.
