Sony Creative Space 2022 is happening next week in New York on October 27 and 28. I’m thrilled to join an extraordinary community of visual creators live and in-person at the Skylight Modern.
The best part is I’ll do so with a new camera. Mentioned in an Alpha Universe post yesterday, no camera details were provided. In a first though, the Sony community will get to try a new camera on the same day it launches. That’s a one-of-a-kind event with what I’m going to guess is an in-a-class by itself camera.
The last time I was in New York was before times for a Creative Space in 2019. I expect Sony Creative Space 2022 next week will also have everything.

Both days of Creative Space will have a number of workshops for you to attend to learn directly from some of the leaders in the community. On Thursday, October 27, hear from Sony Artisan and fine art photographer Brooke Shaden in her workshop Images That Speak To The Soul. Join conservation photographer Melissa Groo for her workshop on The Joys And Demands Of Wildlife Photography, and catch a distinguished panel of outdoor creators made up of Sony Artisan Cristina Mittermeier, L Renee, and Alpha Collective members Autumn Schrock and Nate Luebbe for their discussion Talking Alpha.
In addition, attendees will photowalk with Sony artisans. Attendees also have a chance to win gear. An a7 IV ($2498 from B&H) + Xperia 5 IV kit or an a7 IV + Xperia 1 kit. I’m traveling with the Xperia 5 kit.
