Last Post of 2018

This is my last post of 2018. I’ll be back on January 1. While I don’t write year in reviews because of our annual family vacation, what I can tell you is 2018 was a big year for Sony.

And, you should expect even more in 2019.

In the new year, I’ll shoot astro with a Sigma 14mm f1/8 shown in the featured image and short video shared on Instagram.

You bet I got soaked by an unexpected big wave—camera OK!

Until then, here’s a long exposure shot from Keawakapu beach this morning. I was out on the beach at 5:30 AM and the moon is full. In the distance is the wind farm on the side of the West Maui mountains.

Maui 18 Sigma 14mm f1.8

With the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 attached to the a9, I shot at ISO 125, a 30 second exposure, and f14. Super happy with how that turned out I’m excited about the astro shots from the top of Haleakala.

My daily shooter is Sony A1 with a vertical grip and various Sony lenses attached like the FE 20mm F1.8. Find more gear recommendations in our shop. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
