The “I” in “PRO-I” stands for “Imaging” and the Xperia PRO-I delivers. The highlight of the PRO-I experience is a 24mm wide-angle camera with a large 1″ Exmor RS CMOS sensor, which incorporates a real iris for dual f/2.0 and f/4.0 apertures and a sharp ZEISS Tessar T* lens made from high-index aspherical optical glass. In other words, shooting with this phone is more like a camera than the computational photography the iPhone uses.
The large, 1.0-inch image sensor is also found in Sony’s premium RX100 VII compact camera. Still optimized for a smartphone, the phone body maintains a slim form factor. The length is approximately 6.5 in (166 mm), the width of approximately 2.8 in (72 mm), and a thickness of approximately 8.9 mm.
