Step Up To Sony Sales Event Recommendations
If you want Sony’s flagship, get the a9 for $1000 off and note that many retailers accept trades. That’s how I bought an a9 for $1000 earlier this year. I traded in most of my DSLR gear and lenses. Sure, you’ll make more selling it yourself, but I have no time to eBay.
The best value in mirrorless is the a7 II for 900. The second gen a7 beats Nikon and Canon on Spec and is $500 off. For photographers into high Rez, the a7r II at 600 off is also a great deal.
More Sony Gear On Sale
Much more Sony gear is on sale, including bundles. See the full list on their site. I’ve highlighted my recommendations below.
- a6300 for 749
- a6500 with 55-210, f4.5-6.3 $200 off
- Distagon T* FE 35mm f/1.4 for $1498
- RX100 V for $899
- RX10 IV for $1599
If you’ve been thinking of upgrading to a Sony mirrorless camera, now is a good time. The a9 is the best deal because the new firmware adds another camera worth of features, like real-time subject tracking.
Of all the Sony cameras available, the a9 fits my shooting style the best. As I’ve shared, it puts me in the moment with no blackout, 24pfs, and real-time tracking. The camera calculates the focus, locking onto a subject, and the photographer can freely compose. The importance of this technological jump is the focus sticks on the person or subject you initiated, no matter how erratically they move.
…My daily shooter is Sony A1 with a vertical grip and various Sony lenses attached like the FE 20mm F1.8. Find more gear recommendations in our shop. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
